The mini fishing rod is a very useful tool when the unexpected fishing opportunity should arise. For example, let’s imagine that you are on vacation and have not had the time to investigate the many possibilities of fishing in the area.

However, when you are in the town of your vacation spot, you hear from local fisherman that there is a lake that is loaded with perch that are biting good. Being able to reach into your luggage and pull out your mini fishing rod will come in handy then!

Or imagine that you and your family decide to rent a cabin on a lake. You arrive in town and the cashier at the gas station informs you that fishing is an excellent activity there during this time of year and the lake is loaded with fish that are biting. The kids are ready to go fishing when they hear this too.

A regular fishing pole was not something that you were able to pack – luggage and other gear taking up all the extra room in your compact car. However you remember that you have that mini fishing rod given to you as a gift last year conveniently located in the glove box of your car. How cool is that? So you take the boat out that was provided with the cabin and you and the kids go bluegill fishing for dinner with your mini fishing rod.

Or let’s say you are working at the office and a fellow staff member tells you that the city’s environmental conservationist just unloaded a batch of trout in the local lake. Everyone runs home to get their regular fishing rods but you beat them to the punch as you have a mini fishing rod in the glove box of your car.

Because you love fishing, you prepared yourself for the unexpected and had the mini fishing rod, the reel with line, bobber and hooks purchased together. You also keep a little jar of trout pellets for bait handy because you heard that trout stocking was going to happen soon. You are ready to take off. While the fish were still biting, you were able to catch the limit for the day while you’re co-workers were trying to get home to get their fishing gear!
